A Month Full of Surprises

This month began with a blow out at Superbowl XLI, where the Colts 'cake-walked' it over Da Bears! Sorry Gareth but that's the truth of the matter....you win some, you lose some. The worst thing about the Superbowl is it signals the end of the American football season, and the end of worthwhile television until March Madness! Even this season's '24' has been less than average.

This month the weather took a turn for the worst. The temperature dropped below freezing and we had our first big snow fall of the year. There was only about 4-5 inches of snow, but because it was so cold, the snow quickly froze to a solid layer of ice. There was some good to come out of it though...a day off work! A big thank you goes to my Mum for funding my new winter coat and gloves to help fight the cold - oooo and the aviator sunglasses to look good doing it!

Shana on the mall

Even though it was cold outside, Shana and I still managed to visit a few of the numerous museums and art galleries in downtown DC. We visited the National Portrait Gallery at the American Art Museum, the National Museum of the American Indian, and the National Gallery of Art.

Crazy Mask

My job has been going ok, however my supervisor dropped a bit of a bombshell when he broke the news that he was leaving for another job. So I'll be 'acting' Creative Director of the company for the next week or so till we find a replacement. It's not a position I imagined myself to be in, especially two and half months into the job; but I plan to use this opportunity to gain valuable experience.
